Do or Die, Reds!

Tonight, Liverpool will face a do or die game against Marseille in the European Champions League. With being only on the 4th place in the EPL table, there's a question about Liverpool's priority. Benitez has said that his main priority is to win EPL, not the European football glory.
Just before the Marseille game, Liverpool lost 3-1 to Reading at the Madejski Stadium. In this game, Benitez made an usual decision when he substituted Steven Gerrard while trailing 3-1. This decision was said to be confusing regarding Benitez' priority. If he foucesed more on EPL, why the hell did he substituted Gerrard? Didn't he want to win?
To be honest, I can understand Benitez' decision. Being trailed 3-1 at away game against a hardworking side like Reading and still have to think about the most crucial game this season against Marseille, of course Benitez wouldn't want to see his skipper got injured or exhausted. Like I said, the Marseille game will be a do or die game where there's no room for any mistake and all players have to be in their best shape.
Priority? I'm sure Benitez still considers the EPL title as the most important thing to win. But you have to remember that European football glory is very tempting for every football manager in Europe. Not to mention the money offered in every game. Benitez knows that he has a very good side to focus on EPL and the Champions League. If he can keep his players fresh and determine every game's priority, there's a good chance he can do the double at the end of the season.
I know that every Liverpool die hard fan can't believe that they lost to Reading. But they have to also remember that 1 game doesn't make the whole season. Losing to Reading didn't hurt their EPL campaign that much while losing at Marseille will be a shame.
